The Dawgs Travel Diary: Asin Barangay

His Royal Orangeness Karl Willem and PA/PR Gromit welcome you to the beautiful small town of Hallstatt, established 7500 years ago by a merry band of Celts. What have those Celts ever done for us....

...but before we answer that, we is hunger from the 3 hour journey and have a modest merienda of mmmmm good ol' Austrian sausages.

That's the village centre.

There is very little light pollution we got what we came for - stargazing. When was the last time you looked at the night sky and could see so many stars? This keeps us young.

We walked along the lake...

Before dinner we watched the Austrian Slumdogs slug it out in Who wants to be a Millionaire, ja?

We wanted to sleep early and needed help. Fraulein, give us some native hell, bitte. Danke schon...

Our modest dinner of hendelbrust mit weichselsauce und reis. (For the benefit of Ateneo de Manila students, that's cockerel chest with cherry sauce and rice. O ha, 'cockerel' is very specific. Siguro natalo sa sabong yung chef.)
