My friend who lives close to the lagoon said this was not true. And now Baguio Journalists are also saying this is not true.
So apparently, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, our honest and hardworking president, asked the Philippine Information Agency to 'produce' some evacuees at the Mansion in Baguio. A busload of people came, Gloria gave away bags, photos were taken, the article written, then they were loaded back into the bus, and then the gates of the Mansion were closed again.

"“We have been here since the storm. We stayed in [a Baguio hotel] but we had to leave when it became expensive. We used our money for food, but we are now down to noodles,” said Jenny Lomibao, who escorted 120 hotel and restaurant management students to Baguio.
They heard about the storm only when they were on the road to Baguio on Thursday.
“Their parents are very worried,” Lomibao said. She said the Mansion House security personnel allowed their buses to stay inside the compound on Saturday night. However, they were not allowed to get off the bus.
“We did not mind because it was safer there,” Lomibao said. However, the buses were asked to leave on Sunday when President Arroyo arrived."

it maybe true that they (or she, or who's ever behind it) instructed the PIA to write a nice press release. i should know because i worked there before, and i was specifically hired to write press releases in preparation for her '04 presidential campaign. had i known that it was the deal, i wouldn't have accepted the job. back then i needed the job so i went with the flow. but i only lasted for a year. i couldn't take the crap anymore. i credit my would-be-husband for enlightening me. sabi nga nya, "parte ka ng bulok na sistema." sorry i can't publish my real name for security reasons.

Hay naku, super totoo yan i used to work in the government for 10 years, pumunta si Arroyo sa campo namin during campaign period by special order of the camp commander maghakot daw kami ng kahit sino as cheerers habang dumadaan cya and then during election instead of tagabantay kuno kami against daya-an kami etong nangbubura ng boto favor sa kanya kapag dehado si Arroyo sa counting. Nag papanic yung camp commander..talagang pambihira ang epekto ng pera sa tao..so i left the service.
That miserable excuse for a president should have a lot of money stashed for her family's future generations. Most, if not all the Filipinos despise her with a passion. How great is the irony for that woman who claimed in the May 2005 Asian edition of Time that God put her in office. By the way, she is probably the most idiotic president since she graduated with a degree in Economics in Harvard, has very low self-esteem (remember that we had the most number of persecuted journalists around 2004-2006, can't remember which specific year) and even had a boob job at the age of 60. WTF?!
Never have I seen such an individual whose soul is already burning in hell while still alive. That's why she's going all-out as much as possible to extend her term so at least her time in this world is, well, extended. I really hate that woman and her cronies who suck ****.
