Saigon Bespoke

After landing in Saigon and dropping my bag at the hotel, the first order of business was not lunch. The Nashman went straight to the tailors to get one suit done, some pants, and some shirts. And why stop there when I heard good things about a shoemaker specialising in patinas?

Zegna fabrics were tempting but expensive. Best to start with a half-canvassed linen suit suitable for the tropics.

The pretty seamstress knows my dimensions. In centimetres!

Then off for a shoe consultation. There were half-brogues, whole cuts, and classic oxfords (or richelieus as they say in France).

And for local flavour, the Vietnamese star. Why not?

I'm a messy shopper.

Apparently, here I'm a 39EEE. The made to order shoe will be ready in 7-8 weeks. Yay.
